Voice swatches, v2 — five speakers

• Third person only — no we, no I, no you; the instrument reads, the rule was retracted, the finding stands.
• Two tenses: past simple for events in the record, timeless present for instrument behavior.
• Verdicts are a closed vocabulary (born, killed, walking); uncertainty is a stamp on the entry — provisional — never an adverb in the prose.
• Where authority ends, the entry says so and stops: presence is recorded; cause is not this record's office.
• No evaluative adjectives, no questions, no exclamation marks; the number carries the sentence.
• The reader is never addressed; the reproduce command is listed the way an exit status is listed.

⚠ Costume without enough real record behind it reads as goth cosplay and gives a seconds-of-attention reader no door in.

• Fixed sections do all organizing — NAME, SYNOPSIS, DESCRIPTION, EXIT STATUS, BUGS; no transitions, no rhetoric.
• Timeless present, third person: the utility reads, prints, exits; imperative mood only inside usage lines.
• Zero adjectives of quality and zero benefit language; why the reader might want it is never stated.
• Unvalidated status is a listed fact under BUGS, carrying the same weight as any other entry.
• No questions, no humor, no future tense.

⚠ Zero persuasion means zero door — the page must be carried entirely by the strangeness of what it lists, or it is skipped in one second.

• First-person singular with contractions; 'we' is banned — there's no institution to hide in.
• Epistemic status is the first breath: nothing is validated; here's what I measured anyway.
• Every number arrives with its denominator and its weakness in the same sentence.
• Hedges must be specific (I didn't test X), never atmospheric (arguably, somewhat).
• Coined lexicon is translated inline; the coinage appears only as a parenthetical alias.
• No call to action; the text ends when the thinking ends.

⚠ Without measurement density the anti-style is just underwriting, and it flattens the one strange thing — the death lexicon — that makes this memorable.

• First-person singular; observations dated, the date early in the sentence.
• One long looping observational sentence, then one short flat one.
• Every speculation is flagged and ranked (I suspect, I have not yet ruled out) and names the observation that would kill it.
• Findings are specimens with dates and ages; ration coined lexicon to one term per screen.
• Curiosity is the only permitted emotion; maintainers are observed, never diagnosed.
• The reader is a correspondent, not an audience: you keep a repository; you can count yours.

⚠ Preciousness — if specimens and revenants ever outnumber the measurements, a skeptical reader files it under aesthetic and closes the tab.

• Median sentence seven words; hard ceiling fourteen; one-sentence paragraphs legal.
• Second person only inside instructions; everything else subjectless or third person.
• Negation is rationed to three per page and aimed only at ourselves: no server, no cause claim, no validation.
• Present tense only; futures are promises and promises are marketing.
• One dry understatement per surface, made by refusing to elaborate; never pointed at the reader or at peers.
• The sentence explaining why anyone should care is always deleted.

⚠ One blunt line aimed at a peer or the reader instead of our own limits, and the deadpan curdles into smugness.
